On March 26, 2024 in Berlin, the Tarifgemeinschaft deutscher Länder (TdL) finalized a collective wage agreement with the Marburger Bund for doctors at the university hospitals of the federal states.
Remuneration will be increased by 4 percent on April 1, 2024. A further increase of 6 percent will follow on February 1, 2025. Working hours will be reduced from 42 to 40 hours per week as of January 1, 2026. Further improvements relate to the ability to plan work, working time documentation and evening work. The agreement will run for 30 months until March 31, 2026.
